Job Description:

Organizes and manages all administrative and patient care procedures / tasks for the respiratory therapy department.  Keeps current with latest advances in technology and techniques, and disseminates this information to appropriate hospital staff.   Sets example for department’s staff to replicate by carrying out dependable service and providing optimum patient care and options.


  • Graduate of an accredited school for respiratory therapy with Licensure and Certification by state of Georgia

  • Must hold RRT registration

  • Must have current BLS & ACLS certification

  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience

  • Experience with PFT & EEG preferred

  • Must have strong background in bedside patient care, able to be self-supervising and motivated.  Knowledge of all operations and procedures, clinical applications, techniques of therapy and function of equipment.  Should possess leadership qualities, administrative abilities, and teaching skills.  Ability to communicate well with patients and staff.
