Provides clinical assessment services for Imaging procedures and exams for care teams, caregivers, families, and patients to determine the appropriate level of care needed for potential services within the Department of Medical Imaging. Uses evidence-based clinical knowledge to ascertain appropriateness of patient for evaluation and treatment. Works very closely with other team members in an effort to provide the most integrative model of care to our patients. Acts as a liaison to the Clinic, Surgery, in-patient and Urgent Care clinical staff for same-day and next-day referrals. Works inter-departmentally with Imaging clinical team members to prepare patients appropriately and follow up post-procedure. Works with the Physician Assistant and Radiologists to provide patient and family education.
Key Position Qualifications
- Current state RN license from an accredited college required
- ACLS/CPR certified required
- BSN in Nursing preferred
- 3 years Medical Imaging experience highly preferred: procedural or support
