The Clinical Informatics Specialist provides expertise and support in the education, development and enhancement of the electronic health record (EHR) related to clinical practice and documentation regulations of the legal medical record. Specific skills include the development and deployment of pertinent role-based training to end users, coaching and thought leadership to ensure that end users (including physicians, nurses and staff members) can effectively use the technology and processes established by CTCA.  Knowledge of the legal medical record and documentation requirements for coding and billing support is a necessary foundation for success in this position.  Successful fulfillment of the role demonstrates commitment to achieve goals and deliverables through leadership and relationship building at across CTCA, to improve patient care through the use of the EHR . 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be licensed as a registered nurse.
  • BS/BA in Nursing preferred.
  • 3 + years hospital or clinical area experience as a registered nurse.
  • 1-2  years electronic health care implementation expertise
  • 1-2 years clinical informatics experience is preferred.
