Position Overview

Registered nurse with oncology-specific clinical knowledge who offers individualized assistance to patients, families, and caregivers to help overcome healthcare system barriers. Using the nursing process, the navigator will proactively anticipate patients’ needs, initiate appropriate referrals, and providing education to equip patients with knowledge and understanding, reducing patient anxiety and stress, and make an informed decision in accessing quality health and psychosocial care throughout all phases of the cancer continuum.

Key Position Qualifications

  • Current Georgia Registered Nurse License
  • BSN required or enrolled in a BSN program within 6 months of hire and completed within 3 years of date of hire
  • Current BLS required
  • Current ACLS preferred
  • Current Chemotherapy & Biotherapy certification or acquired within 6 months upon hire
  • Completion of a basic arrythmia course preferred
  • Oncology experience required
  • Recent ICU experience or Stem Cell Transplant / Blood and Marrow Transplant experience preferred
