You can and will make a difference when you work at Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) at Southeastern. Our patient care model is different because it combines three equally important elements that cover how we take care of our patients and the type of information we provide to them.
First, we ensure that every patient is treated with the kind of attention and consideration we would want for our own loved ones. We call this type of care the Mother Standard® of care, which means that we treat every patient like we would our own mother. We blend this approach to healing with high quality Patient Empowered Care®, which focuses on providing our patients and their families with all of the necessary information to help them make informed decisions. Once a personalized treatment plan is in place, we focus on setting up each patient with a dedicated care team which includes a medical oncologist, a nurse care manager, a clinic nurse, a registered dietitian and a naturopathic clinician.
“Sue is always helping everyone. She is the center of the care team. She remembers patients' birthdays and goes out of her way to make sure they feel special.”
“At the end of the day, they ran out of the soup and she made a call and worked it out to get me another after the kitchen was closed.”
