It includes 50 beds, ICU rooms, surgical suites, state-of-the-art radiation and infusion therapy departments, outpatient clinic rehabilitation and physical therapy department and onsite residential accommodations for outpatients and their families. We are currently seeking dedicated Stakeholders to help us fulfill our Mission and provide the Mother Standard of Care® to patients in the Southeast.

OVERVIEW

Under the general supervision of the Director of the Laboratory, the Medical Laboratory Technician performs a variety of routine and complex laboratory tests on body fluids and substances, requiring independent judgment, with speed and accuracy. The efforts of the individual(s) in this position, in collaboration with other health care professionals, provide data for the most accurate diagnosis or individual treatment of diseases for optimum patient outcomes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs routine medical laboratory tests, procedures and analyses
• Ensures that all laboratory tests are performed in accordance with established standards
• Uses and maintains automated and computerized instruments

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical TechnologyPrefer ASCP Registration
• Computer skills, printers, fax machines, phone system operation and photocopier
• Possess both a working and theoretical knowledge of laboratory instrumentation & procedures
• Prefer a minimum of one year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting
