Position Overview

 

Coordinates an integrated and comprehensive plan for infection surveillance, prevention, control and process improvement throughout the organization.  Objectively and systematically assesses, monitors, evaluates and improves the processes that affect the quality of patient care, ensuring compliance with CTCA’s mission, vision and values.  Serves as a clinical resource to improve patient outcomes.  Supports the department director in accomplishing the strategic initiatives of the organization.

 

Key Position Qualifications

  • Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia
  • BSN required or enrolled in a BSN program within 6 months of hire and completed within 3 years of date of hire
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Infection Control/Prevention 
  • Strong knowledge of basic principles of epidemiology
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
