Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) is a national network of regional, destination hospitals specializing in complex and advanced-stage cancer care. CTCA's newest hospital is located in Newnan, Georgia which is located in the Metro Atlanta region. It is a 212,000-square-foot, all digital facility focused exclusively on treating cancer. It includes 50 beds, ICU rooms, surgical suites, state-of-the-art radiation and infusion therapy departments, outpatient clinic rehabilitation and physical therapy department and onsite residential accommodations for outpatients and their families. We are currently seeking dedicated Stakeholders to help us fulfill our Mission and provide the Mother Standard of Care® to patients in the Southeast.


Develop and deliver training; provide just-in-time coaching and thought leadership to ensure that end users (including physicians, nurses and staff members) can effectively use the technology and processes established by CTCA. Assist with planning, developing and revising curriculum for updates and changes in the system. The EHR Educator will teach the curriculum, and develop/train super-user stakeholders to coach and support end users of the EHR.


  • Designs and presents EHR/Department specific learning sessions, as evidenced by successful department use of the EHR. Effective in written and oral communication, as evidenced by revision and/or addition to existing study guides, preparation of new study guides, job aids, classroom exercises and by positive comments on post class/session evaluations completed by staff in attendance.
  • Instructs classes of +/- 10 stakeholders, ensuring class participants are alert, following directions, and participating in the class by asking and answering questions. Assess and identify Adult Learning difficulties and modifies teaching methods to accommodate the Adult Learner. Coaches individuals during the learning process as evidenced by stakeholders using the EHR easily and appropriately. Stimulates an enthusiasm for learning new information and skills in the Adult Learner as evidenced by stakeholders who are positive about their attendance at EHR learning sessions.
  • Provides one on one training to physicians and adjusts training to meet the needs of the physician's previous knowledge and experience with E H R.


  • Experienced Trainer holding Bachelor's Degree in Education or healthcare related discipline (such as Nursing or Allied Health specialty)
  • Registered Nurse in Georgia strongly preferred.
  • EHR implementation and training experience required
  • Instructional Design and Delivery expertise, including the creation of learning aids, participant guides, exercises, etc. preferred.
  • Microsoft Certified Trainer in Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Previous experience in physician E H R training strongly preferred
