The Director of Pharmacy is a proactive leader who supervises all strategic and logistical activities related to pharmacy operations, including inventory control, record-keeping and staff development. The Director's expertise and professional presence ensures that the pharmacy provides optimal service that improves quality wherever possible, and meets all regulatory and accreditation/certification requirements. He or she enhances the pharmacy's performance and internal quality reputation through proactive ideas and solutions, and explores initiatives that build talent within the department, encouraging career development in all its forms. The Director is also a keen negotiator with suppliers and vendors who consistently provides positive financial outcomes.

Key Qualifications

  • B.S. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy and a current pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.

  • Minimum of 4+ years supervisory and leadership experience.

  • 3+ years of hospital pharmacy experience required.

  • Expertise in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and pharmacy information systems.

  • Thorough knowledge of all local, state and federal, regulations governing pharmacy services.

  • Proficient in the use and application of new medications and electronic health records technology.
