CANCER TREATMENT CENTERS OF AMERICA (CTCA)Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) is a national network of regional, destination hospitals specializing in complex and advanced-stage cancer care. CTCA's newest hospital is located in Newnan, Georgia which is located in the Metro Atlanta region. It is a 226,000-square-foot, all digital facility focused exclusively on treating cancer. It includes 50 beds, ICU rooms, surgical suites, state-of-the-art radiation and infusion therapy departments, outpatient clinic rehabilitation and physical therapy department and onsite residential accommodations for outpatients and their families. We are currently seeking dedicated Stakeholders to help us fulfill our Mission and provide the Mother Standard of Care® to patients in the Southeast.
The CT/MRI Technologist operates all Magnetic Resonance (MR)-related equipment (i.e. scanner, coils/arrays, power injector, monitoring equipment, etc.) and Computed Tomography in a safe and proficient manner. Abides by and enforces all compliance requirements and policies and performs these responsibilities in an ethical manner consistent with the organization's values. Produces high quality images with a minimum of repeats. Handles multiple room assignments and all different types of exams on a daily basis. Communicates effectively with physicians, patients, families, and ancillary hospital personnel. Position may require cross training in additional modalities as directed by the Director of Imaging.
Performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) exams and Computed Tomography (CT) exams. Ensures correct administration of contrast and that patient's lab values fall within range before administering contrast. Questions patients regarding sensitivity to contrast media and/or other pharmaceutical levels, and indwelling metal. Completes all hospital required documentation/consents/screening forms/etc. Provides patient care with compassion. Authenticates all physician orders prior to exam. Maintains accurate records of exams performed. Documents patient exam information in the Radiology Information System, indicating correct begin and end times, tech names and additional charges for patient exams with data integrity. Performs quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment and computerized tomography equipment. Ensures patient equipment remains functional during scanning period. May recommend at time the procurement and necessity for maintenance and/or acquisition of equipment.
